Classified vs. Certified Positions

Certificated job listings generally require teacher credentials or another certificate. Classified job listings have no such requirement.

  • Certificated employees include teachers (full-time and substitutes), speech therapists, school psychologists, nurses, and similar classifications. Coaching positions, while not certificated, are also included in this listing.

  • Classified employees include bus drivers, nutrition services assistants, classroom assistants (i.e. Title/Remediation, Special and General Ed), School Plus staff, clerical staff, custodians, accounting personnel and similar classifications.

2025-2026 Substitute Teacher Rates: Certificated Teacher – 160.00/day 21.33hour – Non-Certified – 130.00/day 17.33/hour

A Certified Teaching Position Application consists of:

  • Cover Letter/Letter of Interest
  • Certified Application Form
  • Resume
  • Transcripts
  • Three (3) Letters of Reference
  • Copy of Idaho Certificate

A Classified Position Application consists of:
